Aperta Sub
Aperta is IsoAcoustics‘ hugely successful range of bookshelf speaker isolators available in different sizes to accommodate different HiFi loudspeaker cabinet weights.
As of June 2021 IsoAcoustics proudly unveil the Aperta Sub, a new addition to the family designed specifically for subwoofers.
Big Drivers Mean Big Movement
The addition of a sub to a listening system can often create awesome depth and insight into frequency ranges beyond the scope that standard loudspeakers are able to offer.
To achieve this feat, subwoofers usually harness the power of larger drivers, producing higher levels of energy and increasing the risk of transfer to underlying surfaces.
The resulting symptoms will be familiar to many existing sub owners – reduced clarity and definition, smear in the low end, rumble and even neighbour disturbance.
Improving Definition
With their latest addition to the Aperta product line, IsoAcoustics aim to solve these problems in one fell swoop.
Crafted with an aluminium frame and no fewer than four patented isolators, the Aperta Sub decouples speaker cabinets from their supporting surfaces, removing the floor from the acoustic equation when placed below any subwoofer.
This additional isolation prevents vibrations from being transferred and reflected back into the cabinet, avoiding smear to low-end frequencies and greatly improving the overall clarity and definition of the acoustic profile.
Isolation Up To 36kg
The Aperta Sub stand sub is designed to accommodate up to 36.3kg of subwoofer with a suggested minimum footprint of 265 x 290mm.
Because each of the patented built in isolators is directional, it’s recommended that the front logo faces immediately towards the listening position for best results from all front and side firing subs.
To cater for users with higher-pile carpets, each Aperta Sub also ships with 4 carpet spike adaptors which can be easily applied to the underside of each isolator to yield better purchase and stability during playback.
