Musical Fidelity M6si integrated amplifier

Dual Mono Integrated amplifier.
The M6si integrated amplifier improves on the previous M6i model with more inputs and completely new internals to give greatly improved technical and sonic performance.

The M6si has real high-end sound quality. Because of its power it is effortless and unstressed. Its stability margins are huge so it will drive any loudspeaker easily. These are only the bedrock for what the M6si really does: sounding fantastically musical.

Because of its pre amp/power amp configuration it produces wide stable images with an effortless, clear, ungrainy sound quality. Bottom end is delivered with a vast punch and speed of attack.

All in all the M6si offers true high-end sound quality, an extensive range of useful inputs, a compact package, reliability and a fair price.

Musical Fidelity M6sCD CD player

It uses a 32 bit DAC with 192 kHz upsampling and delivers a musical performance faithful to even the most complex recordings.

Retained from the outgoing M6CD model is the same fabulous disc loading mechanism which proved to be both a great performer and reliable in long term use.

The M6scd comes with a range of digital inputs too. This means it is both a world-class CD player but also a phenomenal stand-alone DAC too!

Both Coax (RCA) digital inputs work up to 24 bit 192 kHz while the 2 x Optical (Toslink) and asynchronous USB input works up to 24 bit 96 kHz. It also has digital outputs on both Coax (RCA) and Optical (Toslink).

The new M6scd offers outstanding sound quality, excellent disc readability and world-class technical performance. It’s combination of excellent sound, good looks and a wide range of digital inputs make it an excellent partner for the M6si Integrated and a wide range if other amplifiers.

ProAc loudspeakers response DT8

ProAc invests a great deal of time researching the choice of diaphragm material for their drive units because this is the most important component, transferring cone movement into sound. Some materials excel at certain frequencies and therefore it would prove logical to use more than one type of drive unit material to cover all frequencies. Additionally, all production parts from the chassis through to the magnet system, spider and voice coil are painstakingly selected.

The latest ProAc floor standing design, the new Response DT8, incorporates these design parameters for the first time in a ProAc two-way design. Utilising 2 x 6.5 inch drivers, the pulp mica cone unit delivers exceptional bass performance in a ported cabinet with the bass loaded via side vents and the polypropylene unit gives a smooth, detailed and uncoloured midrange. Both drivers work in tandem resulting in a well extended low frequency response and ProAc’s signature natural sounding midrange quality and pinpoint imagery. These frequency ranges are then cleverly overlapped by a new, Stewart Tyler designed, crossover which seamlessly integrates ProAc’s proven 1 inch soft dome tweeter, offset on the front baffle, and placed between the 2 drivers.

The new Response DT8 now takes its place in the ProAc range as our entry level floor standing design. We believe that this innovative new loudspeaker will create new interest in the mixing and matching of drive unit cone materials to effectively cover all types of music.

ProAc Loudspeakers

Even in the short history of high-end high fidelity, few companies have lasted the course. Even fewer have consistently developed and produced high quality products which have earned international acclaim. ProAc is one such company. The ProAc range is, as they say, reassuringly expensive. We do not make cheap loudspeakers and certainly do not produce cheap sounds. Happily, many thousands of audiophiles worldwide agree with our philosophy. Every ProAc loudspeaker is hand-crafted, with our technicians individually responsible for the building and testing of each unit, from the flagship Response models to the diminutive Tablette. Build quality alone is unsurpassed, each cabinet being meticulously constructed, damped and finished in real wood veneer. Only the very finest components are used in ProAc loudspeakers, with each new model reflecting the very leading edge of audio technology. Indeed many models now incorporate dedicated drive units using our own basket, cone and magnet assemblies. Drive unit performance is fine-tuned through expensive and sophisticated crossover networks. But all the finest cabinets and components in the world are redundant without inspired design. And for a quarter of a century Stewart Tyler, Chairman and Chief Designer has been responsible for putting it all together and producing the performance. He alone decides the cabinet size and configuration, drive unit layout and crossover design and all the other factors which combine to produce some of the most cultured sounds available in modern audio. ProAc loudspeakers are available through a network of enlightened dealers who will be pleased not only to put our models through their paces, but to give informed advice on partnering equipment. When you think you've heard the best, then go and hear ProAc.
