Based on the South East Coast of England we are a family-owned company with an amazing passionate team.

My love of music and sound came from my Father who worked within the British audio industry during the 60s and 70s, before we formed Ruark Acoustics together in 1985. In the beginning we made loudspeaker systems for audio enthusiasts, but since 2006 we’ve applied our skills to create radios and music systems with wide ranging appeal that look and sound fabulous in any space. Design

Our aim is to create design icons of the future! Clean lines and proportions allied to special features such as our RotoDial control system make our products unique and instantly recognisable.

Performance & Functionality

Our goal is for class-leading performance, intuitive operation and functions that are really beneficial, rather than frivolous features that may seldom be used. Since launch, our models have become regarded as the finest available, gaining critical acclaim, including the Sunday Telegraph memorably describing our first generation R1 as ‘the Aston Martin of DAB radios’.
