The Sumiko Blackbird is the result of Sumiko’s quarter century of service to analogue devotees.

It builds upon the strengths of, and lessons learned from The Blue Point Special, no aspect of the cartridge’s design was left to chance.

By offering a low-output version of the Blackbird at 0.7 mV, Sumiko have taken advantage of a low-mass cantilever assembly to provide even faster response time and superior dynamics.

With the right pre-amplification, the low-output Blackbird takes all of the performance features of the standard version and pushes them to the next level with the improved tracking that lightweight coils afford.

With the level of performance and clarity of many cartridges twice its price, the Blackbird was designed for exceedingly low noise levels, exceptionally wide dynamic range, and the highest possible fidelity in its price class.

The Blackbird has already become a veritable analogue classic and is sure to delight many more discerning ears for years to come.
