INTONO TECHNOLOGY
The Amati, Serafino and Vox models contain a major new innovation for the collection.
InTono. Thanks to the internal cabinet’s special structure, which reduces the acoustic pressure generated within a given requency range, the new Amati produce midrange frequencies free of any colouration.
WOOD
Nine layers of natural wood are combined according to the grain and finished with nine coats of beautiful lacqueur.
Then, multiple steps of sanding and brushing by hand ensure every Sonus faber speaker is a joy to behold.
In keeping with the ethos of Homage, Amati G5 marries state of the art sound technology and visual artistry in there stunning finishes, Graphite, Wenge and Red
PHASE COHERENT CROSSOVER
Phase Coherent Crossover is designed to deliver immersive, three dimensional sound thoughout the room.
The hand soldered hi-end custom spec capacitors and inductors create sonic clarity while handling high power levels and lowering noise floor.
PHASE PLUG
Discovered through computer simulation’s, the new Phase Plug is another new innovation which optimises the air movement of the driver to reduce turbulence while guiding soundwaves to reinforce their propagation into a more consistent wave patter at listening distance.
The result is a smoother frequency response with higher levels of clarity both on and off axis.
NEW DRIVERS
The Amati G5 is equipped with a stunning new mid-range driver and woofer.
Powerfull neodymium magnets drive voice coils with powerful control and precision in the mid-range.
The new Woofer leverages ultralight CCAW voice coils in a neodymium slug for quick speed and improved power and heat handling.
The spider and surround were redesigned using computer simulations applying the Finite element method.
This translates to long lasting detailed sound that will not muffle or overheat the Amati G5 system
STEALTH ULTRAFLEX
Functioning as the exponential section of the duct and thanks to its design.
Stealth ultraflex improves the aerodynamic flow of the air stream emitted by the reflex ducts and is an integral part of the system.
The extruded aluminium parts give further structural rigidity to the cabinet and now come in a beautiful deep grey brushed aluminium finish.
SOLID STEEL “AMATI G5” SPIKES
The Sonus faber Amati G5 is mechanically decoupled from the floor by the patented Z.V.T system (Zero Vibration Transmission).
Z.V.T is an optimised suspension system with alternating metal/ elastomer/ Metal surfaces, which overlap inside the base plate, legs and footer spikes.
This system substantially reduces acoustic feedback and the transmission of spurious vibrations into the listening room.

Homage’s iconic wood lute-shaped cabinets are now available in three stunning finishes: Graphite, Wengè and Red.
BEHIND HOMAGE
“The most complex, but also exciting moment for a designer is when he is called upon to improve a timeless icon,” said Chief of Design Livio Cucuzza.
“How do you innovate a product whose image is immune to the passage of time and the changing fashion trends.
The only way is to take a step back, reflect and deeply understand why that product was initially created.
I faced this challenge straight on with my team at Sonus faber.
The third generation of Homage was the first product I worked on, and the latest launch we are unveiling is the fifth – the most evolved, the most mature, but equally authentic and special.
A story that repeats itself, crossing the evolutionary path in different stages of my own life, never ceasing to fascinate me and make me proud to be part of it.

The first pioneering project by Franco Serblin, founder of Sonus faber. A completely new concept for that time, an all-in-one system entirely made in solid wood.
On March 25, 1983 Sonus faber becomes a company in its first headquarter, a small laboratory in Monteviale, on the hills of Vicenza.
