Goldring

Goldring is a British audio brand with more than 100 years of heritage, founded in 1906 in Berlin by the Scharf brothers. It began by making gramophone parts such as needles and sound boxes, before evolving into a specialist in cartridges for record players.

  • Early 1900s–1920s: Started with gramophone components and introduced early “sound boxes,” later adopting the Goldring name and establishing a reputation for quality.

  • 2000s–present: Returned to turntable development, launched modern cartridge ranges (like the E series), and continued innovation during the vinyl revival.
