Audio Research LS-3
Stereo Preamplifier
Inspired by the original LS3 line stage that received numerous awards worldwide in 1992, the modern LS-3 is a solid-state design that utilises a fully balanced differential JFET input stage, a bipolar transistor-based voltage amp, and Class-A output stages.
The signal path is fully dual-mono, with separate power transformers and zero gain-cascaded voltage reference, and linear power supplies that provide low noise and outstanding dynamics.
The chassis is elegant and modern, while providing a silhouette that is instantly recognisable as an Audio Research. An all-new touch screen display allows for input naming, adjustment of the display intensity and colour selection, plus many other functions. The display carries forward the font style of our Reference GhostMeters® for a cohesive look.
Sources are rendered with a rich tonal balance, speed, dynamics, and a sense of energy that propels the music forward and involves the listener. It also plays big, reproducing the recording space with air, space, and great focus.
The LS-2 and LS-3 share the same, beautiful all aluminium chassis that has been carefully designed to offer the stability and rigidity necessary to isolate this circuit for maximum performance.
