Chord Company ClearwayX speaker cable
Delivering performance and value. Chord Company ClearwayX speaker cable is a multiple WHAT HIFI? 5-star review and award-winner, using a clever combination of materials (including their latest XLPE insulation) to produce a speaker cable with a performance level that usually costs a lot more!
The ClearwayX uses 14 AWG multi-strand oxygen free copper conductors – big enough to bring control and definition to both book shelf and floor standing loud speakers.
The conductors are arranged in a twisted pair configuration before a soft PVC internal jacket is applied, this helps to minimise mechanical noise and also spaces the twin contra-wound foil shields in relation to the conductors.
Available in terminated pairs (fitted with ChordOhmic connectors) and per m off the reel per. Demonstration sets available, it will cost you nothing but your time to listen, and for a music lover you’ll probably hear its worth in the first few bars of music.

ChordOhmic ChorAlloy™ plated 4mm and spade loudspeaker connectors are designed to bring electrical and sonic benefits to speaker cables everywhere. Optimum contact via Hex-gun crimp termination.
The plugs are fitted as standard to all new Chord Company speaker cable sets as well as being separately available as a retro-fit upgrade, enabling this revolutionary 4mm connector to improve existing Chord Company cables or any other cable brand for that matter!
For many years Chord have been using silver-plated copper conductors in their designs. Their silver-plated designs are paired with ChorAlloy™ plated connectors. Using silver in cables can be misunderstood, as many people still associate the use of silver with a bright, overbearing sound characteristic. In their experience, however, this brightness is actually caused by a poor choice of insulation material rather than the silver!
