JVC‘s DLA-NZ800 D-ILA is capable of inputting and displaying 8K images with enhanced performance.

The dynamic range has been greatly extended over the previous DLA-NZ8 model, due to the newly developed 3rd generation 4K D-ILA device with higher native contrast and the higher output power BLU-Escent laser light source.

The sheer beauty of D-ILA images is a result of over 25 years of JVC engineering and technology.

Exceptional brightness of 2,700 lumens and native contrast ratio of 100,000:1 are achieved with Gen3 native devices combined with BLU-Escent laser.

The projector also benefits from the embedded HDR metadata to provide the ultimate HDR experience.

Added to this are the new Gen2 8K/e-shiftX with 8K scaling engine and HQ lens system, resulting in pixel perfect home cinema projection with greater detail, dimensionality and contrast

The third generation 0.69″ native 4K D-ILA device offers the native contrast ratio of 100,000:1.

Also, improvements in the manufacturing process resulted in improved screen uniformity for enhanced image quality.

JVC’s original BLU-Escent laser light source has been optimised to achieve exceptional peak brightness of 2,700 lumens with longevity of 20,000 hours.

Housed in a compact casing, the laser light engine provides higher output, greater efficiency and quieter operation, making it an excellent solution for demanding home theatre installations.

Whether the source is 4K or 8K, the latest Gen2 8K/e-shiftX high resolution display technology doubles the resolution by shifting a pixel by 0.5 pixels in four directions to deliver pixel perfect 8K resolution.

The 65mm HQ lens system with 17 element, 15 group all glass lens projects high resolution images to every corner of the screen, while securing wide shift ranges of 80% vertically and 34% horizontally to enable faithful reproduction of distortion free 8K images regardless of where it is installed.

The 2nd generation Frame Adapt HDR function instantaneously analyses the different peak brightness per scene or per frame for HDR10 content and performs real time tone mapping for optimised brightness, colour and details.

When combined with each of the following modes including the new Deep Black function, the projector detects and analyses data contained in HDR sources to project the best of what each source has to offer.

Made to reproduce SDR content with a narrow dynamic range in more saturated colours with greater vividness, the Vivid mode is excellent for SDR animated works and gaming CGs.

Full 8K input is enabled with 48Gbps 8K/60p HDMI input with HDCP 2.3. Also, 4K120p input that is used with Low Latency Mode is excellent for high frame rate gaming platforms.

Unparalleled Black Level and High Luminance Deliver Images Brimming with Reality

The new D-ILA projector boasts the industry’s highest native contrast with the Gen3 0.69-inch 4K D-ILA device and wire-grid optical engine, however in combination with the dynamic laser light control, which analyses the incoming video signal to automatically control the amount of outgoing laser light, a dynamic contrast level of ∞:1 (infinity to 1) can be achieved in scenes with pitch blackness by completely shutting off the light source.

As a result, images brimming with reality that are closer to human perception can be produced. Likewise, the new algorithm enables laser control with greater precision to meet the user’s preferences.
