APPLICATION DETAILS

The REFLECTOR units are designed to protect the listening room from external and internal high-frequency electromagnetic interference.

The goal is to eliminate this electromagnetic interference before it even reaches the hi-fi system.

Potential sources of interference include radio waves, cell phone towers, high-current power lines in the area, and Wi-Fi networks in neighbouring apartments or houses.

Electrical devices in the home, such as smartphones, DECT phones, powerline networks, or microwaves, can also cause such interference.

The REFLECTOR units also take care of internal sources of interference – such as electrical components of the hi-fi system, routers or mobile devices in the room itself.

To effectively protect the entire listening room—especially the acoustic focus of the hi-fi system—at least two REFLECTOR units are required.

In the 60’s Georg Frederik Schnerzinger already worked on new energy transmission methods and as a music lover he also developed high quality sound concepts.

The results of his research directed him to the perception, that a "phase stable signal transmission“ is of fundamental importance for an unbiased transport of electrical information – an insight, audiophile circles attach adequate importance not until most recent years. G. F. Schnerzinger called this study "Phasen-Wächter-Forschung" (phase guard research); in the 70‘s he was appointed honorary citizen in the U.S.A. Early he infected his grandson Dirk Klocke, today the moving spirit within the SCHNERZINGER® audio team, with his striving for sophisticated music reproduction. At the age of 9 at his communion he received his first high quality hi-fi system from his grandfather. After his own years of apprenticeship, while he always searched for the ultimate, G. F. Schnerzinger arranged a stay with Jason Bloom for his grandson. Together with Leo Spiegel Jason had founded Apogee Acoustics, perhaps the most innovative and acknowledged speaker manufacturer in the 80’s.

Jason Bloom gave him deep insight into the secrets of his knowledge and arranged important contacts at this time. Dirk thankfully and proudly considers the insights of the Phasen-Wächter-Forschung and his „apprenticeship“ with Jason Bloom as the foundation for the exceptional results of development of SCHNERZINGER® research in the audio products domain. Dirk has the great fortune to have gotten to know the original musical experience, to have internalized it and to have stored it in his audiovisual memory as the standard of any reproduction. Personal contacts with musical greats such as Luciano Pavarotti, Jose Carreras, Placido Domingo, Tina Turner, Elton John and Udo Jürgens, who sang or played unamplified directly in front of him, are the highlights of the experiences that trained his musical understanding and shaped his hearing. Dirk knows the real sound of good music and how it should sound from a reproduction system. In more than 30 years of experience, he became acquainted with the best and most expensive hi-fi devices in the world, owning many of them, so he could gain comprehensive experience regarding strengths and weaknesses of audio components. His experience and the application possibilities of the SCHNERZINGER technologies ATOMIC BONDING, GIGA CANCELING and BIDIREKTIONALE BARRIERE are responsible for the extraordinary capabilities of SCHNERZINGER audio products today.
