Advanced Technology for Unparalleled Sound

At the core of the Stax SR-009D is the MLER (Multi-Layer-Electrode) technology, a groundbreaking innovation that originated with the SR-009.

This technology utilises a fixed electrode formed by unifying three stainless steel plates at the atomic level through thermal diffusion bonding, without the use of any adhesives.

This process results in a fixed electrode with exceptional planarity, low resonance, and high sound wave transmission, delivering a sound that is both incredibly detailed and transparent, setting a new standard for audio reproduction.

Enhanced Usability and Modern Design

The SR-009D features a detachable and replaceable cable structure, a standard in the current STAX lineup, which enhances usability and allows for future upgrades and easy maintenance.

The newly developed injection-molded unit case reduces the overall weight of the earspeaker, ensuring a comfortable listening experience even for extended periods.

The headpad features a 10-step click mechanism, allowing for a perfect fit for a wide range of head shapes.

The body colour, cable material, and unit case have also been updated from the original model, combining legendary performance with modern convenience.
