VPL-360es
The Sony VPL-360es brings out the contrast for eye-popping realism.
Iris3 technology for stunning contrast
Sony’s Advanced Iris3 technology adjusts light output frame-by-frame, allowing the projector to achieve an incredible 200,000:1 dynamic contrast.
Fine shadow detail is revealed in dark scenes, without compromising reproduction of bright scenes for truly captivating images.
HDR for the most vivid picture quality
Get the most from today’s UHD Blu-ray and streaming services with High Dynamic Range. HDR video offers an expanded brightness range that delivers more realistic, high-contrast images and brilliant colours.
Compatible with both HDR10 and HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) formats.
Sony’s home cinema projectors reproduce colour and contrast that’s true to the director’s creation.
UHD 4K resolution for the ultimate detail
Thanks to their massive experience in all aspects of entertainment, Sony are now able to bring the detail of 4K Ultra HD resolution to the home cinema.
Simply put, projecting in this resolution gives detail and realism that’s impossible to achieve with conventional Full HD resolution.
UHD 4K resolution is four times greater than the more conventional 1920 x 1080 Full HD projectors and it’s a difference you can easily see on a large projection screen.
Super Resolution 4k Upscaling
Watching a 4K signal from a source such as UHD Blu-ray, Netflix or Amazon Prime is awesome but the VPL-VW360es still excels with other resolutions, too.
With Super Resolution 4K upscaling built-in, you get much of the benefit of 4K resolution with your existing Blu-ray disc library.
Just leave it to the Sony to upscale the image and maximise the picture quality.
Motionflow makes it smooth
Whatever you’re watching, you’ll enjoy a liquid smoothness during fast-moving action scenes with Motionflow.
This innovative technology creates and inserts extra frames between the original frames, first comparing key visual factors on successive frames, then calculating each split-second of missing action.
HDMI HDCP 2.2
The Sony VPLVW360es features an HDMI socket that is compatible to get the best from your UHD source – up to 4K 60p YCbCr 4:2:0 / 8-bit and HDCP 2.2.
What this means is that you’ll be able to use the projector with UHD 4K video sources such as UHD Blu-ray and set-top boxes.
SXRD panels for vivid picture quality
Sony uses advanced SXRD (Silicon X-tal Reflective Display) panels with an incredibly rapid response rate of just 2.5 milliseconds.
This gives the VPLVW360es smooth, fluid motion that’s faster and more stable than typical LCD TVs.
Another advantage over TVs is the increased panel resolution of 4096 x 2160.
This ensures that films can be viewed in panoramic formats, such as CinemaScope and American Vista with much less of the picture taken up by black bars.
Super high brightness
Ideally, as with all projectors, the Sony needs a dark room to give its best.
However, thanks to the high brightness level of 1500 lumen, it will still perform well under daytime lighting conditions; making this a flexible source of entertainment for all.
