Nu-Vista Pre (pre-Amplifier)
The Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista PRE uses a balanced configuration circuit and balanced precision matched stepped attenuator for volume control.
This means even at low volume levels, as well as higher, stereo imaging will be precise and accurate.
For driving strength, a pair of mini power amplifiers (equivalent to 50W) are used for the output stages.
They run in Class A for preamp purposes, giving the best in line driving capability, dynamic range, as well as reduced noise and distortion inherently.
Supply capacitance is generous, and chokes are added for further improved supply ripple and pulse current spike reduction.
Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista PAS (stereo Power Amplifier)
Based on Titan 1000W stage, it has separate capacitors for bulk supply, and one each for output devices considerably reducing output impedance and improving dynamics.
Chokes are added for further improved supply ripple and pulse current spike reduction.
Bias is set for over 5W of initial class A operation thereafter the stage slides into class B operation at a point where the now much lower discontinuity is easier dealt with than “standard” crossover distortion.

Nu-Vista PAM – Overview
Based on their excellent Nu-Vista 800 circuit they decided to go all out “fully balanced” on the Nu-Vista range.
The Nu-Vista PAM features the tried and tested Nu-Vista stage featuring 6S51N nuvistors in a discrete class A amplifier buffer.
This is followed by a balanced configuration circuit and balanced input high power, low distortion “bridged” output amplifier stage.
The power stages have 2x 5 pairs of high power thermally compensated output devices for reliable and stable operation.
The three Nu-Vista components will now be supplied with external power supplies

The Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 800.2 is a power-house of an amplifier with outstanding clarity and finesse.
Receiving new modern looks, a new display and revised internals it is all the original 800 was and more.
The Nu-Vista 800 was an amplifier that has enjoyed much popularity and use as a high end hybrid integrated over the past few years.
