Fonoteek

Fonoteek is the ultimate vinyl record cleaning station.

This one stop device uses brushes and ultrasonic cleaning, together with cleaning fluid, to remove even the most stubborn dirt from your record.

The washing cycle is then followed by a rinse with pure distilled water and drying where air blades blow water off the disc.

The machine is also very versatile as you can set and save custom programs to fit your needs.

Be it a quick 5 minute brushing run for those drift finds or a 20 minute ultrasonic cycle with rinsing for your mint condition Blue Note.

How it works

Brush wash

Brush wash

Fonoteek’s two microfiber brushes wash off larger surface dirt from the record.

The brushes move away from the disc when not in use and are easy to clean or replace.

As a bonus, the rolling brushes clean themselves thanks to centrifugal force when moving through water.

Ultrasonic wash

Ultrasonic wash

Degritter’s powerful yet delicate ultrasonic cleaning technology brings out the finest details from the bottom of a record’s grooves.

Fonoteek lets you run ultrasonic cleaning cycles indefinitely thanks to the large water cooling system, which keeps water temperature cool and safe.

Rinse

water tanks

The machine includes two 3L removable water tanks.

The left tank is for cleaning cycles and the right for rinsing.

If you want, you can add Degritter Cleaning Fluid to the left cleaning tank.

To keep the rinse water clean, they use three large activated carbon filters.

These will filter out any cleaning fluid residue from the rinse tank.

Dry

Dry

The drying process uses two integrated air blades to remove most of the water.

The large removable covers at the front and back of the machine are perforated and lined with air filter material.

Fonoteek Open

All entering air will be filtered through these.

The light moisture left on the record surface will dry quickly.

Versatility at Your Fingertips

Versatility

Fonoteek’s unrivaled versatility lets you configure cleaning programs just as you see fit and save them for later use.

You can now specify how long each part of the washing program will last, or you can completely skip certain parts of the cycle.

Fonoteek, like Degritter Mark I and II, monitors information such as water temperature and maintenance requirements.

The machine will notify you when the brushes or filters need to be cleaned or replaced.

Brand

Degritter

The team behind Degritter started in 2015 with a clear vision of creating a practical record cleaner that: is simple to use would clean thoroughly has great build quality looks good does not sound like a vacuum cleaner And we they are confident that it lives up to the expectations. Degritter uses ultrasonic cleaning in a water tank followed by a separate drying cycle to provide superb cleaning effect. To create the best ultrasonic cleaning system they experimented with different frequencies, virtually simulated the energy distributions and made multiple physical set-ups to measure the energy levels. They built their own custom ultrasonic amplifier to power the system and spent long hours under a high resolution microscope to assess the safety of the device. Degritter's distinct minimalist look was created in close collaboration between their team and an accomplished industrial designer to achieve a sleek product that can be proudly displayed next to a high-end audio system. Throughout the whole technical design process we also paid close attention to the noise levels that the device will put out. For this reason we have created a unique pumping solution that together with silent dryers and inaudible 120kHz ultrasonics forms a product that makes almost no noise at all. As a result of the meticulous design and build process we have come up with something that we can take pride in and feel that our customers will appreciate as well.
