Little Fwend Low MK2

Low MK2

The Little Fwend Low Mk2 replaces their original Low, which has been sold to more than 3,500 happy customers since 2016. It fits most turntables with regular thickness platters — Thorens, Linn, Pro-Ject, Rega, MoFi, and many more.

Designed, hand-assembled, and individually tuned by Lasse & Jeremy in their workshop in Oslo, Norway. Machined in Switzerland for even higher mechanical precision. Solid stainless steel with a superior glass-blasted finish.

Will it fit my turntable?

You’ll need a flat, unobstructed mounting surface between the edge of the platter and the base of the tonearm to adhere the magnetic mounting disc. Point the stylus towards the middle of the run-out groove of a 12″ record — you’ll need approximately 28mm of free space under the tonearm.

The Low Mk2 is designed for turntables with 32–49mm from the mounting surface up to the underside of the tonearm, measured while the stylus is in the groove.

LW Low MK2 + P8/P10/Naia

Low Mk2 + P8/P10 Mount

Limited edition mounting platform for the Low model. Custom machined to fit the skeletal plinth Rega P8/P10/Naia.

The Little Fwend Low MK2 P8/P10-Mount is designed to be very intuitive and easy to install. The mounting platform is friction-fit and when the recessed arc is aligned along the curvature of the platter, the mount will be oriented correctly.

If you are a new customer, you need the Low P8/P10-bundle. If you already have a Low model, you can just get the P8/P10Mount and you are back in business in no time.

The P8/P10Mount will also fit the other Rega models from the P3 and up as the 44mm diameter opening in the arm brace is the same for all of them.

Little Fwend

A serious turntable is almost always manual. Little Fwend is mounted on your turntable and set up to trigger a lifting mechanism that raises your tonearm and stylus above the surface of the record after the music inevitably fades out. It is 100% mechanical and will not affect the audio signal in any way. Little Fwend has provided customers with peace of mind since 2016. Some use rare or expensive cartridges they want to keep from unnecessary wear, others just think the sound of the run-out groove is annoying to wake up to. If you are the type that listens to music in a mindful and focused fashion, that is great - but sometimes life happens, a drifting thought or someone calling on your attention and two hours later you wonder if you turned the turntable off at all. Not that we are trying to sow seeds of fear, but raise your hand if you have not once got distracted when playing a record - or fallen asleep in the listening room. The precious diamond at the end of the cantilever has a useful life of 1000-2000 hours before it needs to be re-tipped. There is no point in wearing this out prematurely if you can easily avoid it. The cost of re-tipping is not the worst part (unless it´s a Lyra or Koetsu etc.), but the months of wait time at the manufacturer or re-tipping service where your (most likely most played favourite) cartridge is waiting in line to undergo surgery.
