Meze present their first dynamic open-back circumaural headphone featuring newly designed driver and a hugely comfortable lightweight assembly.
DIAPHRAGM DESIGN
The diaphragm is the heart of the headphone, producing the waves our brains ultimately perceive as sound.
In order to meet the acoustic goals they set for the 109 PRO, they focused their R&D efforts on materials research, looking for the perfect balance between mass and stiffness that would maximise the sonic abilities of the headphone.
Their search led to developing the 109 series Dual-Composite Diaphragm – a combination of Beryllium-coated polymer, cellulose – carbon fiber composite and copper-zinc alloy.
In a world of fast-paced technology, they bet on proven fundamentals.
Their new 50mm dynamic driver, assembled and tuned with ultimate precision, allowed them to push the boundaries of speed, accuracy, and dynamic range.
ACOUSTIC DESIGN
Through its open-back design, they wanted the Meze 109 PRO to be vivid and exciting, empowering the listener to connect with music on a deeper level.
Carefully tuned by their in-house engineering team, it offers emotionally engaging sound with great detail, clarity and just the right amount of punch.

Comprising a unique blend of Beryllium-coated polymer, cellulose, carbon fibre and copper-zinc alloy.
Meze’s 109 series driver has been designed from the ground up to deliver next-generation sonic ability and performance to match.
Meze 109 PRO’s impedance measures in at 40 ohms making them a great easy-driving match for both portable and home audio listening setups.
Ultimate Comfort
The assembly of the 109 PRO is composed of dark walnut wood, zinc and manganese steel for the yoke and headband assembly and finally vegan leather for the headband itself.
Specially designed breathable velour ear pads achieve perfect isolation while also reducing heat to reduce sweat and facilitate enjoyable longer listening sessions.

HARVESTED WOOD
The black walnut wood they use for their headphones comes strictly from sources with a certificate of origin, harvested from mature trees that have reached the end of their life cycle.
This way, the environment is being protected, leaving room for new life, while the old trees are shining once again, in the shape of a Meze headphone.
